Spaghetti with red sauce

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 package of no6 spaghetti
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 teaspoon of sweet paprika
  • 1 teaspoon of turmeric
  • 2 tablespoons of tomato paste
  • 500 gr of tomatoes
  • Basil
  • Parmesan cheese
  • salt and black pepper

INSTRUCTIONS

Saute the chopped onion and carrots in 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Then,add the garlic cloves and the tomato paste.

Add paprika, the chopped tomatoes, turmeric, salt and black pepper and cook until the sauce thickens.

Boil the spaghetti in a large pot with salted water following package directions.

Strain the spaghetti and we mix in some olive oil.

Serve the spaghetti with the sauce, grated parmesan and some fresh basil on top.
