INGREDIENTS
- 1 kg of shrimps
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves
- 500 gr of orzo
- 4 tablespoons of olive oil
- 3 ripe tomatoes
- Some ouzo
- Thyme
- Basil
- Oregano
- Feta cheese
INSTRUCTIONS
Boil the shrimps for 7 minutes if they are fresh or 4 minutes if they are frozen.
Once boiled, remove their shell and keep the water they were boiled into.
In a pan sauté the onion, the garlic and the shrimps in some oil. Then, add some ouzo and cook for 3-4 minutes. Add the tomatoes and wait until it starts boiling. Then, add 1 ½ glass of the water the shrimps were cooked into, the orzo, salt, pepper, some thyme, basil and oregano.
Once the orzo is ready, serve and sprinkle some feta cheese on top.
