Whole wheat bagel

INGREDIENTS
  • 450 gr of whole wheat flour
  • 1 package (1/4 ounce) dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 100 gr sesame seeds

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat the oven at 180C.

In a bowl, mix the flour, the yeast, the sugar, the salt and the olive oil. Knead the mixture for 5 minutes. Continue to add water and keep kneading.

Cover the bowl with a cloth and let the dough rest for 30 minutes.

Divide the dough in 10 identical pieces.

Punch dough down and shape each piece into a thick strand.

Join the two ends of the strand, brush them with water and roll them in a plate with sesame seeds. Make sure that you have coated the bagels with sesame seeds on both sides.

Place some baking paper on a baking tray. Put the bagels in the baking tray and bake for about 30 minutes.
