October takes its name from the Latin octo, meaning eight. In October we celebrate two world anniversaries related to food! Specifically, on October 1 we celebrate World Vegetarian Day, while on October 16 World Food Day. Each of them is a reminder for global awareness and action regarding the need to ensure a healthy diet for all, and also for the environment.
