Chickpea rice

INGREDIENTS
  • 500 gr. canned chickpeas
  • 250 gr. basmati rice
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • 2 finely chopped green onions
  • 2 grated garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 lemon in juice
  • 1 tbsp tahini
  • olive oil
  • Salt Pepper

INSTRUCTIONS

Burn a pot on high heat and pour 2 tbsp. olive oil.

Add the onion and green onions and cook them over medium heat until they are glossy.

Add salt, pepper, bay leaf, cumin, rice, chickpeas, lemon juice and mix.

Add 600mL of water, lower the heat a little, cover with a lid, boil for about 20 minutes.

Remove the food from the heat, add 2 tbsp. olive oil and mix.
